★★★★★ This is a beautiful masjid that you will see well before you arrive. The architecture is definitely Islamic but somehow fits with the rest of the Hyde Park area around it. The twin minarets, dome, and beautiful metal doors remind you of older masjids in Muslim countries. The immaculate wudu and salat areas and the beautiful mihrab (decorated with calligraphy and tilework) make prayer here a great experience. On Fridays, you can hear the adhan on loudspeakers outside of the masjid and the khutbas are timely and pertinent. If you are coming through Chicago, do not miss this masjid.
