The Islamic Centre Edgware (ICE) was established over 30 years ago to serve the needs of the Muslim community. We are a registered charity [Charity Registration Number: 270 823] with the aim of meeting the spiritual and welfare needs of the Muslim community in and around the Edgware area. ICE purchased its first property in Beverley Drive, Queensbury, in 1988. From this property we provided five daily prayers and Quranic lessons for the children. However as a residential house, Brent Council were not minded to change its use and the property could no longer be used from the year 2000. Alhamdulillah, in 2007, we acquired a former motorcycle workshop behind 9 to 11 Deansbrook Road in Edgware. Soon after, we started the planning application process to create a purpose built facility for the community. This involved the demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of a new two storey Islamic Centre Edgware with facilities for both men and women. After many years of consultation with the London Borough of Barnet, Alhamdulillah in 2012 we received the planning permission with the support of the local councillors who visited the site.
