SUNNI The Worcester Muslim Welfare Association was set up to fulfil the spiritual needs of the Muslims community living in Worcestershire. The first Masjid was built on Tallow Hill in the early 1970?s. This Masjid was registered as a charity in 1979. Since that period the community has grown rapidly so much so that the Masjid was too small by the late 1980?s. By the turn of the 21st Century the site was deemed too small and hence another reconstruction program was initiated. This involved converting the downstairs halls, toilets and kitchen of the present Masjid into one large prayer hall. The added space increased the number of musalees that we could accommodate. Alongside the aspect of worship, the Masjid management has taken steps to ensure the education of the children is catered for, to this end, the management committee purchased an education centre opposite the current Masjid. Office Hours: 9am - 5pm
