SUNNI A very active mosque with interfaith activities, the Islamic Cultural Center of Greater Chicago has remained an important center for Muslim religious activity, serving Bosnian and non-Bosnian Muslims. Opened in the late 1970s as a purpose-built mosque designed by architect Aziz Tokh, the Center has not been without some institutional struggle over its identity in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
