NONDENOMINATIONAL The Muslim Law Students Association's mission is to act as a nexus of community-building, increasing awareness on issues that particularly impact minority communities, and organizing events to foster relationships between both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Throughout the last two years, we have organized multiple events around leadership and women's empowerment and has co-sponsored events with other student organizations including the Black Law Students Association, LALSA, Jewish Law Students Association, and the Legal-Association for Women. One of our goals has been to foster a community of inclusivity and openness. We are proud recipients of the 2018 Diversity Champion Award. MLSA has co-sponsored events with the Impact Center on chartering a path forward for minority communities and has continuously fundraised for different social causes. We have raised funds for Rohingya & Syrian refugees, as well as funds for DACA renewal application fees. Through our mentorship initiatives, 2L and 3L members have been serving as mentors to 1Ls by providing constant support and offering professional development opportunities.
