★★★★★ Asalaam-O-Alaikum,
I would personally recommend anyone and everyone to come and visit this Mosque.
When I moved to Voorhees, NJ, from PA almost 3 years ago, I was looking for a Mosque where I could take my daughter for her to learn about the teachings of the Quran. I was so happy when I found GCLEA and still am.
Not only is the facility clean and welcoming, the people there, is so friendly and accommodating. Being new to the area, and also a new practicing Muslim, everyone, especially, the Imam's wife, readily answered to all my questions and concerns.
The Imam's lectures is a blessing to both myself and my daughter. So, not only my daughter, but I have learnt so much, just by going to the Mosque.
Sometimes when I have to wait for my daughter's class to be over, the library at the Mosque, is a good place for me to do some research or get some work done, as I wait.
The Youth Club, is also a wonderful support system for youths in the community. There are also many other classes that everyone can benefit from (Arabic, Islamic Studies, Tajweed, etc.).
As strange as it may sound, this facility has been a blessing in our lives and I would recommend anyone and everyone to come and visit. Posted on December 17, 2012 |

★★★★★ I started attending Jumu'ah services with this community of believers last Shawwal, about a year ago. The community is very diverse both in age and ethnicity. There is also a nice contingent of people who have accepted Islam in their life-time, like the Imam himself.
Last winter this community moved to the new Cherry Hill building and the results have been, alhamdulillah, incredible. The building is spacious, clean, and private, with ample facilities for both men and women. The masjid's programs have really taken off with the new building; there are Arabic classes, ladies tajweed courses, halaqah of Qur'an, and lecture series' throughout the week. The programs for children are great too; this summer I spent some time with the kids at the masjid's 'summer camp' and now there is a Ramadan academy where kids can study Qur'an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies during Ramadan. All in all this masjid is supportive, friendly, and welcoming and I would highly recommend that anyone come and visit. Posted on August 7, 2012 |
