★☆☆☆☆ Every few years, they have an explosion over who will become king of the masjid (board elections). 90% of converts in this community have either left Islam, or left the community. The majority of the youth have lost Islam. There was a group of converts who wanted to work independently to address the needs of converts. The board wanted to exercise undue control over the convert issues, of which they have no knowledge, nor did they attend the meetings. There were converts who have studied Islam, and been practicing Muslims 25 years and more involved. Based on the board's insistence to dictate matters, they cancelled the convert program. So the converts will meet elsewhere. For me, this organization does not address my needs as a Muslim, nor have they ever concerned themselves with my needs as a Muslim. I hope people who understand Islam will be the successors of this place. Posted on September 14, 2013 |

★★★★★ Assalamu Alikum
I want to clarify one thing and warn all of you from some people who are not been truthful!
it's about justjessica85 and her coment about Dar El-Eman masjid its community and its Imam. Can you believe the Imam she is talking about is the one who give her SAHADA, and opened his house for her and her son, and the Imam's wife used to baby set her son for her when she goes to work all that for the sake of ALLAH, the community has no sense of community because she wanted to take advantage of every body by been new Muslima, she wanted the do her wedding party o a different Masjid and they told her there will be some fees involved for cleaning and thinks like that, she did not like it and spoke bad about Muslims, who helped her to the best of their ability, nobody knows what movies she is talking about, never seen or herd of such a thing, also have ever herd in your entire live about a Khutba one hour to hour and half long, the khutba starts at 1:30pm and ends at 2:00pm and some time they go for 5 to 10 mins extra because its in Arabic and English, the bathrooms fitly, the masjid has cleaning crew, and a muslima shouldn't you do some thing about if its true, and look what she said at the end<> I think we should honest in giving advice, appreciative of what the people offer or do for us, fear ALLAH say the truth, and the best way to learn about any place is either to visit, or ask the people from that area, ask anybody and everybody about the Imam of that Masjid or get to meet him and gauge by yourself, May ALLAH forgive us and guide her and us to do what is right. ★★★★★ I have to say a while back this Mosque used to be the one i didn't want to go to, but lots of changes have been made. Mashallah now the board is a lot better. The current Imam who is Said Atif is very nice and anything you need he would help you out. Also very multicultural, but a very big sense of family in this mosque. Posted on July 29, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very little sense of community here and zero to few salams to be extended. I will be honest and say that I was once a guest at the house of the imam and I could not believe the way he spoke about the masjid not giving him enough money and the people have too many problems. I feel that this honestly is NOT backbiting but that I am informing people that the heart of this imam is not in the best place. I believe that the congregation suffers for that. There is also political promotions for things such as movies that take place at the masjid. Events will be double booked such as an Ahkekha and a video promotion of the same day! Many people have no sense of descency and will help themselves to anything of yours they see fit or will invite themselves to a private event. uest speakers as well as the imam will sometimes drag a Khutbah out over an hour up to an hour and a half! People have to get to work. Its hard enough being Muslim in America without being late to jobs or such things and giving them a REAL reason to fire you. The bathrooms are filthy most of the time and there are only 2 seats to make wudu for ladies. The most beautiful thing about this place is sadly the building itself... Posted on August 22, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very close minded atmosphere. Racial tension is very high. The only programs conducted are political. Imam's are changed on a regular basis. Posted on January 28, 2008 |
