Hopefield is on the West Coast and ±121,8 kilometres, or 1hour 18 minutes from Cape Town. Situated in the heart of fynbos country, quiet Hopefield is past Malmesbury and Moorreesburg on the N7, and just before Vredenburg on the R45. The town does not have a railway station. By mid-September 2010, Muslims of the Hopefield Islamic Society had laid the foundation of the Masjid complex.
