★☆☆☆☆ Witnesses a public money gathering event calling out names and numbers. What is the value if everyone knows how much you contribute. Also, extremely dirty for a mosque. Feels more like a social gathering place. May Allah help our bros and sis' to keep our masjids clean. These are representing us as a community. You cant really bring anyone in here to show the beauty of our religion which should be visible at a min in how clean our homes, cars, and mosques are..just like ourselves presumably Posted on January 29, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ This is predominantly controlled by Indian Urdu speaking group of Deobandi brand. They eat too much Biryani, Qorma, Karahe, Halwa, etc in side; that you will smell the food from carpet when you go for Sajda. Plz stay away and keep your eeman safe. Posted on July 15, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ I have been praying at this masjid whenever I visit the area for the past 5 years. The maintenance of the wudhu area and restrooms have been deteriorating. I was there last Friday at Maghrib and there were dirty dishes in the wash basins and the wudhu area. There is also no accommodation for people who are disabled at the shoe racks. My wife says that ladies section was so unkempt that she left the masjid and prayed at a nearby restaurant instead. Posted on January 4, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Great masjid with a huge expansion project underway - so it'll only get better.
But I think it's time they finally join the technological age.
No website, and a phone number that doesn't work. They really need to get on that. It would help the community stay updated with prayer times and big events like Ramadan and Eid. Posted on August 8, 2013 |

★★★★★ I would pray here when I would go shopping on Devon Street. It has great parking, and a very big prayer area. It also has clean bathrooms, and a big wudu area. It is also up for expansion as it was a parking lot that they converted into a mosque. Posted on May 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ This information needs to be edited as the khtubas at Jamia are in Arabic. There is a speech (bayaan) before the khutba that is in Urdu and is really excellent if you can understand it. Overall this is a great masjid for those of you who need to pray and want a serene ambience. Unlike a lot of other places, you can stay as long as you want. The masjid and wudu area are exceptionally clean despite the number of people that use this masjid. Jumma is really crowded but if you want to taste the experience of Jumma in India/Pakistan, this is the real thing. You will see streams of people coming down the sidestreets walking in to a packed masjid.
One criticism is the small women's prayer area that is very separated from the rest of the masjid. This will be rectified in the new expansion that is being planned. Posted on November 16, 2008 |
