SUNNI Formerly known as the Darul Arqam Educational Institute, the Leicester Community Islamic School was originally established in 2000, growing to serve approximately 150 pupils on roll in the school (Primary & Secondary) and 110 pupils in both the Madrasah?s, with 20 teachers and 6 assistant teachers who support the school. The separate Primary and Secondary Departments are both situated within the same building. There is also a large hall where the children can play during break time and perform P.E. The secondary girls classes on the ground floor are completely segregated from the secondary boys who are on the first floor. There is no mixing of the pupils at the secondary level. Both Primary and Secondary Departments have a Library where the pupils are allowed to borrow books occasionally.
