Also known as the Garden City Mosque. The Muslim Community in Toowoomba is united under the banner of the Islamic Society of Toowoomba, Inc. (IST). It is a registered non-profit organization to serve the needs of Islamic practices of the Muslims in Toowoomba and its surroundings. The Muslim students at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), local and overseas, play a significant part of the activities of the IST. The IST is a member of the Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ), a forum of the Muslims in the state of Queensland in Australia.
