★☆☆☆☆ This mosque is only suitable for men. It is unwelcoming to sisters, and in fact is quite dangerous.
There is no signage to indicate that the musallah is for men only, that women are forbidden from setting foot in the main prayer area (even when no one else is there), and where exactly women are “allowed” to pray. Because the women’s area is completely isolated from the main prayer hall, any woman who goes there alone could be harmed by someone hiding there — and literally no one would hear her scream! It is the opinion of the management of this masjid that it is so obvious that all the world’s masajid are simply closed to women, so they do not see a need to indicate their policies anywhere. Ladies, do yourself a favor and pray in the parking lot, or better yet, anywhere else. Posted on May 15, 2022 |

★★★★☆ After checking the GR bus routes, it is just a block away from the Kalamazoo and Burton bus stop. I went there twice before I moved, everyone I met was very nice. It's not big or fancy, but it is decent and serves its purpose. Women's entrance is on the side-street side of the building. Posted on July 26, 2008 |
