★★★★★ Absolutely amazing community. Many dedicated volunteers, lots of programs. Shaykh Muhammad Barakat is amazing, as is Imam Rifae whose khutbahs I genuinely enjoy. Having prayed at many mosques around Hartford, I felt the most at home here and really liked the community environment. Only challenge is for outsiders coming to daily prayers is that the building has many doors and only the side door which is unmarked is typically open, so people can come to the front door and find it locked and assume its closed, but its not. ★★★★★ Great Imam. Great khutbahs. Great community. Very good facilities. Active community and seeking to become more active. Be careful of the older reviews below. The Imam is now full time. The interfaith work is usually in the context of supporting anti hate and anti bigotry events and annual Abrahamic faith dialogues. The community is diverse in ethnicity and culture and income and practice. The imam seems to do a good job in keeping it all together. Posted on January 9, 2016 |

★★★★★ Imam Refai studied in Syria and is well versed and quite knowledgeable. A young genius mashallah. I enjoy his speeches because he is able to relate Quran to today's issues in clear English. The facility is new and nice for both men and women. Womens prayer area is large and well maintained. Posted on January 16, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ Masjid and Imam/President are NOT approachable :( this masjid looks good but lacks personality from board hence masjid is horrible. A little bit upper class mentality. Posted on July 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ How dare this mosque promote UNITY? Well, they do dare :)
It's a very clean and well maintained masjid with plenty of room for women and men.
One of the few masjid organizations that actually promotes UNITY between Muslims. Very refreshing. Posted on May 16, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Very beautiful masjid from the inside and out. Sometimes they have excellent people come and give Jumu'ah khutbah. Other times its just random people giving it. Community is nice. However they are involved in too much interfaith in which they advocate every religion. Being a traditional Sunni masjid they even advocate shia'a events! Asides from their shady activities the masjid and community itself is very nice and accommodates everyone. But sometimes it is too accommodating with regards to other faiths. ★★★★★ Arguably, the best mosque in Hartford County. I grew up in this mosque and with the members of the congregation. They are the most open-minded friendly people in the Muslim community in CT you will meet. Everyone can worship in peace here without being judged or name-called unlike other mosques in the state. It's welcoming and observant, something that is a rare quality in today's American mosques. Tolerance is a big pillar of its success. Everyone will greet you with a smile here. The mosque population has dramatically increased in the last few years due to this welcoming vibe. I highly recommend this mosque for the tolerant and the happy. Posted on December 6, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Nice masjid. Clean. Women in a balcony with see-through glass. Decent programming. For the open-minded, religious crowd. Has a good relationship with the Muslim community at Hartford Seminary Posted on June 17, 2011 |
