★★★★★ The best masjid I've ever been to. The people who work there are the kindest people, the board has women on it, it's very clean, maintained, and they offer great programs and events. The first mosque I've EVER felt at home in. Posted on February 28, 2015 |

NR We passed by this masjid last week. It is a very big building, since it was not time for namaz we didn't get the opportunity to go inside. Just down the street from the masjid there is a Mediterranean restaurant not sure if it's halal since we had already picked up lunch from Jabal Lebnan which is about a mile away.
To access the masjid you have to go on the service road. Posted on June 8, 2014 |

★★★★★ Assalam alaikum, brothers and sisters. Yesterday, I went through the greatest transformation of my entire 46+ years on Earth. Praise Allah. I had my "conversion" ceremony to become a Muslim. I say 'conversion', because I feel like I've always been a Muslim, I just couldn't place a connection with anything that explained it until very recently. And I owe great thanks to the leadership of The Islamic Center of Burbank for their warm guidance. Praise Allah.
Okay, now for the review. If you want to go to a Masjid that's fancy, don't go to The Islamic Center of Burbank, because you'll be very disappointed. If you want to go somewhere clean, well-organized, with a friendly congregation, and leaders who will work with you, so that you don't feel intimidated, or forced in a direction in which you might not feel comfortable? THEN go to The Islamic Center of Burbank.
Note: This is not an exaggeration. Not in the least.
Not that other Masjids aren't fine in their own right. I just appreciated how I was allowed to decide for myself, and I wasn't pushed in any particular direction, even though I was thoroughly informed of what was expected of me. And it was even suggested that if I was converting just to get married to a Muslim woman that I should consider waiting until I was absolutely certain I WANTED to.
I knew I was 100000000000% sure before I even called. And now, I know that I've made the best decision of my life, and for the rest of my life. So if you find The Islamic Center of Burbank, and you judge it from the outside, wait till you speak with the leaders, and congregation, and step in the Masjid itself. I believe you'll be happily amazed. I was. Praise Allah.
Thanks for building this great site, and I appreciate everyone's time and energy for reading this. Praise Allah. Posted on January 12, 2013 |
