Iqra Masjid aims to be a community center of Islamic teaching and learning for Muslims and non-muslims, men and women, from all ages, ethnic national, socioeconomic and linguistic backgrounds. Our ultimate purpose is to promote and advance Islamic principles, practices, beliefs and the pursuit of exercising them in our daily lives. To reach these great challenges, we are planning to buy a permanent building to accomodate our masjid and community. We are also commited to laying the foundation for a full-time Islamic school with qualified teachers and an accredited curriculum that will meet the religious and academic needs of our children. Iqra Masjid seeks the support of concerned individuals and other organizations to help raise the additional funds needed for the development of these monumental projects that are urgently needed for the Muslim community of Brooklyn, New York.
