The Muslim community in South Florida had grown large, and for a long time people desired to have a learned religious leader serve them and educate their youth. In 2003, the Muslims of South Florida had their desire realized as the honorable Sayyed Jawad Qazwini established the Florida Islamic Education Center of Boca Raton. For many years the Sayyed prayed and preached sermons with the Muslim community, which eventually grew into Al-Huda Islamic Center. In this time period, the Center was graced with a new religious leader, the venerable Sheikh Hassan Habhab. With a profound dedication, the wise and inspired Shekh helped to move the Center forward—eventually leaving its guidance in the hands of his exceptionally knowledgeable friend, Imam Mohamad Al-Ali (Al-Halabi). Having Imam Al-Halabi’s wisdom and instruction was a true blessing for the Center, which in 2010 was consummated into the American Islamic Center of Florida. Last updated 2 years ago
