The ICBN has members with national origins from Pakistan, India, Iran, Turkey, Palestine, South Africa, Egypt, Jordan and Fiji, in addition to the United States. There are European-Americans, black Americans, Arab-Americans, Asian-Americans and a number of members who remain citizens of other nations. Most of the adults are foreign-born. He believes the center achieves its respect for diversity while remaining true to Koran teaching, which he says can be a uniting influence.
