Also known as Masjid an-Nur. A small masjid located almost on the LSU campus that primarily served the immigrant community (Pakistani, Indian, Arab) until the newly built masjid was opened on E. Airport. Now, it serves primarily students and those who live in the immediate area. Both masjids are run by the same elected Board of Directors. This masjid hosted well over 100 families who evacuated after Hurricane Katrina. They were able to find apartments for all of them, help enroll their children in school and assist with aid in other ways. Last updated 4 years ago
