| Islamic Center of San Francisco: ★★★★ Alhumdolillah, this place offers 5 times salat, juma prayers, children classes and its open through out the day for anybody to pop in and make salat. One brother, has taken the initiative to renovate the women and girls prayer areas. The mens prayer hall is fairly big and they also have prayrer room (just as big as the main hall) upstairs. The kitchen is at the back of the mosque. The wudu area has enough taps to accomodate the crowd. The former Imam has passed away and there is no official imam at that place right now. Located in the heart of Sanfrancisco, very easily accessable from all major freeways. Jazakhallah to all the brothers who try to maintain this place. | Islamic Center of Hayward: ★★★★★ Great place. Location is great, people are great. This is a majority Afghan populated mosque. Wonderful people. The Imam at this mosque is very well versed in Islamic Knowledge and very easy to communicate with. They offer Five time prayers, Juma Salat, Taraweeh prayers, Hifz class and daily madressa for children and much more. The iftarr the local people bring to this mosque during the month of Ramadan is incredible. They have just purchased land next door to expand the mosque. Seperate entrance for ladies the lead to upstairs. Excellent facilites. They welcome all programs and groups and facilitate all sorts of khathams and speeches. If in the area, please check this place out. It's a warming experience. The brothers responsible for the cleaning of the mosque do a termendous job. May Allah reward them all. | Madina Masjid: ★★★★★ Very well known mosque. Offers 5 times salat, juma salat as well as funeral services. We should be all greatful to have a mosque of this magnitude in our city. Easily accessible from Donlands subway station, plenty of restaurants outside the mosque and most importantly, very diverse. You will see people from all over the globe. Managemen may be run by one group but they cater to all communitie's. Saturday night programs are very beneficial and should all make an attempt to attend. | Islamic Center of Northeast Florida: ★★★ Alhumdolillah, this a great place for the muslims of Jacksonville. They offer 5 times salat, juma prayers, funeral services and also community based events. In my humble opinion, its more catered as a community center than as a masjid. The commitee should be made more aware of the islamic etiquettes in regards to purdah. It's a weird feeling when you start bumping into people of the opposite gender. The commitee should enforce seperate entrances for both male and female. The former Imam was very well versed and had a great deal of knowledge in Deen. Unfornately, he is no longer there. What this Islamic Center needs is proper Islamic guidance and leadership. This can only start with them getting the right Imam, inshallah. Overall, great place, nice location, lots of parking and liked by the non-muslim community of Jacksonville.
