| Greenway Masjid: ★★★★★ Very clean masjid. Small, but super clean bathrooms. Womens area next to men but with a light curtain. My wife loves the female friendly environment. Young Albanian Imam gives an excellent khutbah with perfect english skills. Highly recommended for those who are fed up with poor khutbas/facilities at other masjids. | Islamic Center of North Phoenix: ★★★ Very clean bosnian masjid. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Khutbah was in bosanski (bosniac?) followed by another english khutbah. Pretty decent. Imam was knowledgeable. Almost no women attended although they have the space. Ottoman influence I suppose. (Submitted on September 28, 2012) |
| Islamic Community Center of Phoenix: ★★★ A new giant mosque is under construction. Imam is nice but lacks proper English skills. Khutbah in Arabic followed by an English translation by another brother. Seems a little too long. My wife couldn't stand the women's section on Fridays. In a basement where it's too hot in the summer. For regular prayers the women's section is nice though. They have a class every friday and a sunday school. (Submitted on September 28, 2012) |
