| Islamic Center of Tucson: ★★ We were on vacation in Tucson and needed a place to pray without going back to the hotel so stopped here. There is no internal entrance to the women's section - you were forced to go back outside and around the back to even access it, which may fly in the rather desert environment since you don't have to worry about getting rained on very often. The women's section seemed bigger than most I'm accustomed to, but I was still not very comfortable, and the women were not very friendly. (Submitted on May 21, 2012) |
| Al Huda Foundation: ★★★★★ While in town shopping we stopped here to pray dhuhr, a little bit after the official congregational time. Luckily there were people there and the women were extremely helpful helping me out as it was my first time there. The women were extremely helpful and friendly and even apologize for the rambunctious kids (they had just finished up a halaqa for them). A big thanks to them (as this hardly ever happens to me), and whenever I'm in town again I'll definitely stop there if I need to pray. (Submitted on May 21, 2012) |
| Muslim Community Center: ★★★ A good size mosque. Kinda got lost trying to find where to do wudu for women. Husband freaked out because he saw a mouse while he was praying. Upside: An older convert struck up a conversation with me while I was waiting for my husband, which rarely happens to me. Unfortunately, I heard she passed away not long after and I never got a chance to thank her for that. (Submitted on May 21, 2012) |
| Islamic Society of Greater Valley Forge: NR We tried to locate this mosque in time for Friday prayer. It is on the right side of the road, in a house with very little surrounding it except dirt (like construction is going on on all sides). It is a shock if you are used to a more urban/university setting. Unfortunately we never made it in. (Submitted on December 22, 2006) |
