| 38th Street Mosque: ★★★★ The mosque only opens for zuhar. Asar and marghib. Timings are from 1:15 PM to 6 PM daily. Juma prayers are held at 1:40 PM. It is closed on federal holidays. Can hold around 150 people at one time. Located at fourth floor of the building and can be easily missed, so look out for building no 38. Washrooms are clean too. (Submitted on October 27, 2011) |
| Islamic Society of Central Jersey: ★★★★★ I went there to offer a Juma prayer in Last week of June. The mosque was spacious and clean. The crowd was decent, well behaved and a mix of all ethnicity.
The area is very accessible and in a a beautiful suburbun area.
Please remember that you can't have huge mosques in USA so any mosque with capacity of more than 200 worshippers is a blessing.
As for the Car parking problem; Yes, you will suffer if you are a late comer. If you are in time, there will be NO problem.
Will visit again InshaAllah for Eid prayers and update the review (Submitted on July 26, 2011) |
| Bellevue Hospital Muslim Prayer Room: ★★★★★ I am working in Rusk Institute of Rehab Medicine, NYU and my biggest concern was where and how to offer my prayers.
Alhamdolillah, this Masjid is a blessing for a muslim. The administrator is a Muslim brother from Bangladesh and he was very welcoming the first day i went there. The wash room is clean, the main paryer room can accomodate up to 50 people and there is separate area for the ladies.
I have been going there regularly for two weeks now and would recommend this Masjid to anybody working in Bellevue Medical Center, Rusk and surroundings (Submitted on July 16, 2011) |
| Masjid Ar-Rahman: ★★★★★ Good spacious mosque with a very diverse population coming in to offer prayers ( Which is very heart warming and inspiring to me).
It has two floors and a separate prayer area for the Ladies. The rest rooms and area for Wudoo are well maintained. The collection of Quran and Islamic books is very large and any body can read them as long as he/she is in the mosque.
The best part i liked about the mosque is that as the people come in for namaaz and the Jamaa't is up, they team up and offer namaz in Jamaa't again.
Yes , Friday prayers are very busy and draw huge crowds. But please remember ( as of July 2011) there are three Friday prayers as per the following schedule
First Prayer (Jamaa't) 1:00 PM at the Masjid
Second Prayer (Jamaa't) 1:15 PM in the adjoining Church
Third Prayer (Jamaa't) 1:30 PM at the Masjid
May Allah bless the people who come to these mosques and those who take care of them. (Submitted on July 16, 2011) |
