Madina Masjid: ★★★★ Clean restrooms, large prayer space. I'd imagine they'd be packed for Jumu'ah. Good place to stop off for salaah and recharge if you've been out all day in the city. (Submitted on November 9, 2013)
Ohanajaya Mosque: NR will need some better directions for japanese masaajid. Please post address in japanese as well since they don't google correctly. (Submitted on October 12, 2013)
Masjid Assalam wal Khair: ★★★ Clean bathroom, musalla. street parking a little difficult, after all it is manhattan. Khutba was in english, seems majority african. Brothers were very friendly and respectful. Sisters area as well, shared entrance with brothers and they have to cross the brothers area to get to their area. (Submitted on August 25, 2013)
Masjid Ul-Ikhwa: NR as of august 2013 masjid is not allowed to host jumu'ah salaah due to building violations. May Allah rectify our condition and allow the brothers to reopen soon. (Submitted on August 2, 2013)
Masjid Ahlul Quran wa Sunnah: ★★★★★ Maashaa Allaah, the brothers are very welcoming. They have alot of events....Great food after jumah...cheap too. Khutbas are short and sweet...Usually everything is done in 45 minutes. *****New Masjid is now up and running, brand new facilities for men and women including parking and more to come inshaa Allah****** (Submitted on June 1, 2013)
Masjid Al-Tawheed: ★★★★ was here for al jumah. they have good bathroom facilities and the masjd is beautiful and well kept inside. i didn't notice any women entrance/area but it may have been out of sight. everyone seemed nice and the khutba was all arabic but easy to understand. (Submitted on May 12, 2013)
Masjid al-Fayza of Miami: ★★★ very clean and well kept masjid. people were nice. there is a women's area. only problem was the bathroom is shared with the mall (public) and even though it was locked it smelled terrible...wouldn't bring family here but i guess not the purpose. this masjid is very close walking distance to bayside mall, like 4 mins. (Submitted on January 26, 2013)
Imam Ali Mosque: ★★★ small storefront masjid, usually open just for the exact salah times. jumah can get pretty packed. downside is no separate women's entrance; they need to walk through the mens area to get to their prayer area. Also shared bathroom, but not many women attend salaah to make it an issue. khutbas are in english/arabic and are very good in content even though english translation is sometimes shaky. (Submitted on August 9, 2012)
Greenpoint Islamic Center: ★★★★ Clean and beautiful accommodations. Parking can be tough at times in the area. Mostly Yemeni congregation but very friendly and welcoming. (Submitted on January 20, 2012)
38th Street Mosque: ★★ this masjid is closed on weekends...there was a sign on the door that said that. no elevator access...4th floor walkup. (Submitted on November 26, 2011)
Bamboo Masjid: ★★★★ Very nice community rght off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway. Brothers are welcoming to all. (Submitted on November 7, 2011)
Nur E Islam Masjid: ★★★★ Major masjid in San Juan, with the largest community in Trinidad. (Submitted on November 7, 2011)
JFK Airport Islamic Center: ★★★★ Excellent, quick khutbas that cater to large on site staff at JFK. There is a musalla at T1 and T8 but Jumah only at T4. (Submitted on November 6, 2011)
Jamaica Islamic Center: ★★★★ nice majid, parking was difficult to find....clean facilities. (Submitted on October 31, 2011)
Sunnatul Jamaat: ★★★★ Beautiful and clean masjid. Note during the week the men use the women's area which is downstairs... (Submitted on October 28, 2011)
