| Islamic Center of Puerto Rico: ★★★★ Overall - a nice masjid to visit in a local area (not touristy and many don't speak English). We visited here March 2012 while vacationing in PR. Stumbled upon it as we saw a sign for Islamic Center parking. It's not the nicest looking area (like San Juan or Fajardo or the really touristy areas), but the people are very warm. I would go during daytime. We met the parking attendant of a lot across the street from masjid who spoke some English, Spanish, and Arabic, as well as the president of the masjid, who extended himself to us and bought us lunch. It was definitely a highlight as to how warm they were. (Submitted on April 25, 2012) |
