| Islamic Center of Tacoma: ★★★ Nice masjid, was here for khutbah which was in English. Small and fairly cramped but the brothers were for the most part friendly. Parking is a horror though. Didn't see the wudu area so can't comment on that. (Submitted on June 5, 2010) |
| Al-Farooq Masjid: ★★★★ I went to Jumuah at this masjid when I was visiting Atlanta. The architecture is amazing, I was gawking inside like a country bumpkin. I was disappointed at the khutbah service; I'm accustomed to the adhan followed by a khutbah mixed Arabic & English. Apparently this is one of the masajid that thinks the khutbah is in Arabic only so the English at the beginning wasn't considered "khutbah". At any rate it did fulfill my Friday obligation. | Masjid Annur: ★★★★★ The masjid where I took my shahada. They are very mixed - South Asian, Arabic, Indonesian, and born American. The new Imam is a great teacher and knows his stuff. They host classes from some of the top Islamic institutes in the country. Everything is done by the sunnah... Men and women pray seperately. One negative - this masjid seems to have more than its share of children that run amok during salat. (Submitted on March 4, 2010) |
| Islamic Center of Stockton: ★★★ I've only been to this masjid during Fajr. The locals were a bit friendly if standoffish. As the other poster mentioned, all of the signs are in Urdu, so I have no idea where the wudu room is & only found the prayer room by opening one door after another. (Submitted on March 4, 2010) |
| San Ramon Valley Islamic Center (SRVIC): NR I can't really rate this because when I went in for Dhuhr there was nobody present. Apparently they don't update the prayer times on their website; when I looked it had the iqama for dhuhr at 1:30. When I got there the chalk board said it was 12:45 and nobody was around, so I ended up praying alone. The location was clean if a bit difficult to find (it is not marked from the outside).
