| Albufeira Mosque: ★★★ It's not a big masjid but not too small either.
As I have stated in the description above the address below is for Pingo Doce (a shop) and this masjid is located in the basement of flats exactly behind this shop. Pingo Doce is next to the McDonalds in Albufeira. The jumma time is 1.30pm. It is a well maintained clean masjid. There is also a halal meat/grocery shop behind the building. If taking the Albufeira tourist train (day ticket costs €3.50) get off at the stop opposite McDonalds. This is from my trip in April 2011. (Submitted on March 16, 2014) |
| Mosquée Puteaux: ★★★★ Said my jumma prayers at this masjid today. Reasonably clean masjid with wudhu and toilet facilities for men & women. It is located in Puteaux which is also close to La Defense area. I walked there so cannot give info on public transport. Large prayer area (larger than in the photograph). There were two jumma prayers one at 1.30pm and the other at 2.30pm. Speech was in French and the khutba in Arabic. I did not see any halal eating places inside or around the area. | Islamic Society of Mid-Manhattan: NR I said my jumah prayers last week when I was in New York. Nothing special about the mosque but needs a bit of extra cleaning. Location was very good - 15 minutes walk from 53 Street 7th Avenue. Even on subway it is convenient. Entrance is through a green coloured door between the shops so don't expect to see a minaret. Considerably large area for prayers. A request to visitors: Please donate generously so that they can spend more on a masjid so centrally located. (Submitted on April 26, 2008) |
