| Islamic Center of Greater Toledo: ★★ Sisters pray in the same rows as brothers, 'separated' by a token knee high 'barrier' and sometimes the children cast votes to allow sisters to pray in front. Wallahi this is true as photos from the masjid's own website show. There is nothing 'traditional' about this masjid besides the architecture. (Submitted on May 22, 2008) |
| Sunni Rizvi Jamia Masjid: ★ The Masjid was busy entertaining US Army personnel, something they seem to do on a regular basis. The atmosphere is very cold and political and the place smells. (Submitted on April 30, 2008) |
| Muslim Center of Middlesex County: ★★★★★ Masha'allah.
Male only praying area on the second floor. The Imam is great and can give advice based on any of the 4 madhabs someone subscribes too. Good wudu facilities, flash mob crowds at Jummah and close proximity to Rutgers University make this a great masjid, alhamdulillah! (Submitted on April 30, 2008) |
| Islamic Society of Central Jersey: ★★★ Nice architecture, mihrab, etc. The community is warm and vibrant. Khutbahs are more political than spiritual and visiting women aren't asked to cover themselves in any way. Very interfaithy, sometimes feels like a spectator sport. (Submitted on April 30, 2008) |
| Masjid AsHabul Yameen: ★★★★★ Masha'allah.
Made Fajr at a different masjid but came here to crash. The brothers are welcoming, kind and have great noor. Good collection of books and a great building make me eager to visit this Masjid on Crescent Ave. again soon, insha'allah. This Masjid sits at the end of a few streets lined with Halal businesses so sisters can get shopping done while making easy jaa'ama. (Submitted on April 25, 2008) |
| Tawheed Islamic Center: ★★★★★ The Imam, Qaris and community are top notch. The masjid has a nice little shop inside too with friendly staff. Many children here too who take to the mic in between prayers to talk about what they learn in Sunday school, masha'allah. (Submitted on April 25, 2008) |
| Omar Mosque: ★★★★★ Great khutbahs intensive on seerah, currently being expanded. It's in a Turkish area with some nice restaurants. Seems to be an older community here, but they are welcoming to youngsters. (Submitted on April 25, 2008) |
