Masjid Annur is a large masjid catering to a more conservative community. Men and women pray seperately with different entrances. The khutbah is done primarily in Arabic, with a short summary in broken English. The imam there is extremely knowledgeable, but unfortunately cannot transcend this knowledge as adequately in English. There is Sunday School, Friday Night Sister's Halaqa after maghrib, and full time school as well. (Submitted on 2006-07-03)
Masjid Ibrahim is a small masjid that serves a predominately African American and Hispanic community. A great congregation that is extremely welcoming. I find this to be the most appealing aspect of the masjid. Br. Rashid has served as an interim imam. Arabic classes are offered as well as a montly family night. (Submitted on 2006-07-03)
The women have a seperate area for prayer, the restrooms are great, there is parking, and transit access. Women can be elected into the committee, the imam is Sheikh Ismail El-Sheikh from Al-Azhar University, the governance is a body of elected officials. The masjid has been recently renovated.
