The New Horizon School is the first Islamic school in the USA to be accredited in 1995 by an Independent School Association, with full terms granted in 1998 and 2005. Also in 2005, the New Horizon Pasadena campus became the first Islamic school to receive the US Department of Education National Blue Ribbon Status. Located in the heart of Pasadena, California, New Horizon features two campuses: Lower and Middle School. The Lower School facility consists of a two-story, approximately 12,000 square foot building, located on a 33,500 square foot lot. The campus houses ten classrooms, a library with a computer lab, and a multi-purpose room. The Middle School facility, approximately 25,780 square feet, is located across the street from the Lower School. The campus includes six spacious classrooms, a science lab, a computer center, an expansive library, an attractive auditorium, a basketball court, and the main administration offices. Middle School students enjoy the beautifully landscaped surroundings, including a large grassy area for sports activities and a lovely garden area cultivated by students and teachers.
